Terms of Service

These Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as “Terms”) apply to all individuals (hereinafter referred to as “Users”) who use the random video chat service “CROSS TALK” (hereinafter referred to as “the Service”) provided by our company. Please read these Terms carefully and agree to them before using the Service. On the web version, explicit agreement via checkbox is required.

Article 1 (Definition of Terms)

  1. “User”: All individuals who use the Service
  2. “Account”: Identification information created by the User to use the Service
  3. “Service”: A service that allows Users to video chat with randomly connected users by setting conditions and pressing the start button, with a time limit

Article 2 (Description of the Service)

The CROSS TALK service allows users to select desired conditions and click the start button to be automatically connected via video chat with other random individuals using the Service, and enjoy real-time conversations. Each video chat session is limited by time, and will automatically end upon exceeding the set limit. Currently, the Service is provided for free, but paid features or in-app purchases may be introduced in the future.

Article 3 (Usage Fees and Payment Methods)

Currently, the basic use of the Service is free. If paid plans or items are introduced in the future, their content, pricing, and payment methods (e.g., credit card) will be notified to users in advance and applied upon agreement.

Article 4 (Prohibited Conduct)

Users must not engage in the following actions. If such conduct is confirmed, the Company may take actions such as temporary suspension, usage restrictions, or permanent banning of the account.

  1. Sexual or obscene acts (exposure, sexual topics, vulgar language, inappropriate camera movement)
  2. Abusive or aggressive behavior (insults, threats, etc.)
  3. Discriminatory or biased statements (regarding race, religion, nationality, etc.)
  4. Silence, unresponsiveness, or creepy behavior (e.g., staring, strange motions)
  5. Suggesting recording or screenshots (invasion of privacy)
  6. Advertising, solicitation, or spamming (products, services, religion, MLM, etc.)
  7. Improper use of camera or audio (not showing face, distorted audio, being away)
  8. Infringement of privacy or personal information (unauthorized disclosure, stalking, etc.)
  9. Other acts contrary to public order and morals or equivalent behavior

Article 5 (Suspension or Termination of Use)

The Company may suspend or terminate a User’s access to the Service under the following circumstances:

  1. If the User violates these Terms
  2. If the continuation of the Service is deemed difficult
  3. If otherwise deemed necessary by the Company

Article 6 (Intellectual Property Rights)

All content, logos, names, systems, etc., included in the Service are the intellectual property of the Company or a third party with legitimate rights. Users may not use these without permission.

Article 7 (Handling of Personal Information)

The Company appropriately handles Users’ personal information based on a separately defined Privacy Policy. By using the Service, Users are deemed to have agreed to the Privacy Policy.

Additionally, the Service complies with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and carefully handles your personal information. Personal data is securely managed with encryption, and will not be shared with third parties without the User’s explicit consent.

Article 8 (Compensation for Damages and Disclaimer)

If a User causes damage to the Company or a third party by violating these Terms, the User shall be liable for compensating such damage. The Company shall not be liable for any damage incurred by Users due to use or inability to use the Service, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 9 (Jurisdiction)

All disputes related to these Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan, and the district court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company’s headquarters shall be the exclusive court of first instance.

Article 10 (Changes to the Terms)

The Company may modify these Terms as necessary. Continued use of the Service after changes are made shall constitute agreement to the modified Terms.
