You can delete your account from your account page.

3. Matching & Calls

3-1 How Matching Works

When you press the “Connect” button, CrossTalk automatically matches you with a user who is currently waiting and meets your conditions.

Matching is mainly based on:

  • Gender
  • English level

When a suitable user is found, the video call starts automatically.
If no match is found, “Waiting” will be displayed and matching will retry periodically.

3-2 Why You Might Not Get Matched

Matching may fail for the following reasons:

  • No users are waiting with the same conditions (gender/level)
  • The other user left before the call started
  • Unstable internet connection
  • Camera/microphone permissions are not enabled

Matching may also take longer during low-traffic hours.

3-3 Call Duration (6 Minutes)

Once connected, a timer starts.
After 6 minutes, the call will automatically end, and an evaluation screen (Good / Bad) will appear.

This limit is set so users can talk with more people.

3-4 Ending a Call Early

You can press the “End” button during a call to finish it early.
After ending, the evaluation screen (Good / Bad) will appear.

3-5 How to Use the Topic Box

There is a “Topic” box on the call screen.
Press the button to get a random conversation topic.

This is helpful if you don’t know what to talk about.

Topics include:

  • Your country
  • Hobbies
  • Food
  • Travel
  • Learning English
  • And more

3-6 Camera & Microphone Settings

To start a call, you must allow camera and microphone access in your browser.

When prompted, select Allow.
If you do not allow access, the call will not work properly.

3-7 Call Lag or Disconnection

If your call is lagging or disconnecting, possible causes include:

  • Unstable internet connection
  • Slow Wi-Fi
  • Too many apps running
  • Low device performance

We recommend using stable Wi-Fi or fast mobile data.

3-8 Black Screen or No Sound

If your screen is black or there is no sound, check:

  • Camera/microphone permissions
  • Browser settings (not blocked)
  • Device volume
  • Reload the page

If the issue continues, restart your browser or try a different one.

4. Safety & Privacy
